As A Sophomore In 2014: Game-By-Game Statistics
Was a reserve lineman in 11 of 12 contests as the Minutemen averaged 27.3 points and 421.1 total offensive yards as a team in 2014 ... Helped create holes for the run game, which produced 109.3 yards on average while providing time for the quarterback unit to toss for 311.8 yards per game through the air, the 10th-most in NCAA Division I FBS through statistics available on Dec. 4 ... Rotated into the offensive line against Colorado (9/6) ... Also appeared on the offensive line at Vanderbilt (9/13) as the Minutemen produced 346 yards of offense and when UMass traveled to Penn State (9/20) ... Took snaps on the offensive line to help the Minutemen rack up 589 yards passing against Bowling Green on Sept. 27 ... Appeared as a reserve lineman when the Minutemen accumulated 41 points and 554 yards of total offense at Miami (Ohio) on Oct. 4 ... Rotated into the offensive line to help the Minutemen earn a 40-17 victory at Kent State (10/11) ... Was a reserve offensive lineman as UMass football defeated Eastern Michigan, 36-14 on the strength of five rushing touchdowns and 562 total yards of offense ... Saw action in eight games, including one start ... Part of an offensive line group which excelled in pass protection as it allowed just 16 sacks over the 12-game season ... UMass was tied for fifth in the league for fewest sacks given up in 2013 ... Also helped the offense's run game improve in year two at the Football Bowl Subdivision as UMass rushed for over 1,500 yards on the ground averaging 125.2 yards per game in 2013 compared to 1,075 yards rushing and an 89.6 yard per game average in 2012 ... Rotated into the offensive line against No. 23 Wisconsin (8/31), Maine (9/7) and Kansas State (9/14) ...
