Returning All-American, who will be among the nation?s premier punters once again in 2002 ? Three-year starter at punter ? Has excellent mechanics and a strong kicking leg ? UMass? all-time leader in career punting average, with an average of 40.6 yards per kick ? Has played in 34 career games.

2001: Played in all 11 games as UMass? top punter ? A second team All-America selection by Don Hansen?s National Weekly Football Gazette ? A first team All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection ? Named the team?s outstanding special teams player ? Punted 68 times on the season for 2,812 yards, averaging 41.4 yards per punt ? His average of 41.4 yards ranked as the second-best single season mark in UMass history ? Finished the season ranked second in the Atlantic 10 Conference and 13th nationally in punting average ? Helped UMass to a net punting average of 37.3 yards per kick, a mark which ranked second in the Atlantic 10 and seventh in the nation at the end of the regular season ? Placed 20 of his 68 punts on the season inside the opponents? 20-yard line ? Averaged 41.5 yards on eight punts against Richmond in the season finale, with four kicks inside the 20-yard line ? Punted five times for 236 yards (47.2 average) at Georgia Southern in the NCAA quarterfinals ? Had four punts for 159 yards (39.8 average) in NCAA first-round victory at Furman ? Punted three times for 168 yards (56.0 average) against Connecticut, with a career-long punt of 65 yards ? Had four punts for 150 yards against Rhode Island, for an average of 37.5 yards ? Punted six times for 235 yards at Delaware, averaging 39.2 yards per kick ? Had five punts for 198 yards at Maine (39.6 average), with a long of 57 yards ?
