2000: Saw action in every game on special teams and as a reserve outside linebacker, totaling three tackles ? Had one unassisted tackle against Villanova ? Made two tackles against New Haven.

1999: Reserve outside linebacker ? Played in two games on the season ? Saw his first career action against Northeastern, making one tackle ? Also played against Connecticut ? named to the Athletic Director?s Honor Roll in the fall semester.

Before UMass: Four-year letterwinner for Armond Columbo at Brockton High School ? Two-year starter at safety ? First team All-Conference performer as a senior, posting 115 total tackles with six sacks and one interception ? Earned his team?s Golden Helmet Award, given to the Most Valuable Player ? Also an excellent track athlete ? Finished second at the state Class A meet in the 200 meters with a time of 22.3 seconds ? All-Scholastic pick in football, indoor track and outdoor track by the Boston Globe in his senior year ? Earned first team All-New England honors in outdoor track as a senior ? First team All-Conference choice in both indoor and outdoor track during his senior campaign.
