Third Season at UMass

Jim Bradley is in his third season on the UMass coaching staff and his second year coaching the defensive backfield. Last year Bradley coached the defensive line, directing a unit which had two All-Atlantic 10 Conference players in Aaron Parker and Chris Price. Bradley also helped UMass to rank first in the Atlantic 10 with 36 sacks in 1999, while allowing only 323.5 yards per game. During the 1998 season, Bradley worked with the defensive backs, while also coaching outside linebackers during spring practice.

Bradley joined the UMass staff after working for six years at Wagner College, serving as the defensive coordinator for the Seahawks during his last two seasons. The defensive secondary coach throughout his stint at Wagner, Bradley also was the special teams coordinator. His 1996 defense finished 25th nationally in I-AA in total defense (290.4 yards per game) and 27th nationally in rushing defense (122.6 yards per game). While at Wagner, he helped develop 1994 ECAC All-Star Roger Fiddemon and 1995 honorable mention All-American Jason Scholz. Bradley, who earned his MBA in international business during his time at Wagner, joined the coaching staff in 1992.

A 1992 graduate of Ithaca College, Bradley was a four-year letterwinner at running back for the Bomber football team, and a member of the 1991 NCAA Division III National Championship team.

Bradley is single and resides in Holyoke.
