Tailback Matt Lawrence gained more than 100 yards in 10 of 13 games ... UMass allowed just one sack in four weeks from Nov. 3-24 ...     As a redshirt sophomore in 2006: Played in last three games all in NCAA Tournament, after missing 11 weeks with a broken arm ... Saw action in four total games in 2006 ... Made return after 11 weeks out with broken arm against #9 New Hampshire (12/2) in NCAA Quarterfinals at right tackle ... Was injured in season opener vs. Colgate (9/2) and missed 11 games in a row.

    2006 Track & Field: Placed second in the shot put (51' 04.25") at the A-10 Championships (2/18) ... Now places fourth all-time in UMass history for longest shot put throw (52' 11.50") ... Placed fifth in the shotput (52' 11.50") at the Boston University Valentine Invitational (2/11) ... Won the shot put (49' 5.75'') at the Rhode Island Mega Meet (2/4).

    As a redshirt freshman in 2005: In his first year of action, started nine of 11 games at right tackle after injuries were suffered by seniors O.J. McBride and Colin Stoetzel ... Part of a line that allowed 11 sacks on the season in 11 games (1.0 per game), one every 32 pass attempts in 2005 ... Helped the offensive line to six games with more than 100 rushing yards including five 100-yard games by Steve Baylark ... Aided Steve Baylark's three consecutive 100-yard games at Maine (10/22), vs. New Hampshire (10/29) and at Delaware (11/5) ... Helped line to lead Steve Baylark to career-high 198 yards at Maine (10/22) ... Started vs. Northeastern (10/8) for third time helping UMass to 164 rushing yards ...     2005 Track & Field: Second-Team All-Atlantic 10 in the indoor shot put ... Top shot put specialist for the Minutemen during both the indoor and outdoor seasons ... Took second place at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships (2/19) with his season-best throw of 51-feet, 6.50 inches ... Finished seventh at the New England Indoor Championships and 11th in the Outdoor Championships ... Also competed in the IC4A Indoor Championships.

    As a freshman in 2004: Offensive lineman redshirted the 2004 campaign.

    Before UMass: Played football for Coach Dominic Laurendi at Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. ... Played in the AAA Playoffs and competed in the Outback Steakhouse Bowl ...
