1999: Played in two games as a reserve tailback ? Rushed 13 times for 67 yards and one score on the year ? Saw his first career action against Northeastern ? Carried seven times for 38 yards and a touchdown against the Huskies ? Also saw action against Connecticut, rushing six times for 29 yards ? Named to the Athletic Director?s Honor Roll in the fall of 1999.

Before UMass: Played for Erik Knight at Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Md. ? Three-year starter at wide receiver who also shined as a return specialist ? Had 28 receptions for 465 yards (16.6 yard average) with five touchdowns during his senior campaign ? Posted 14 carries for 235 yards (16.8 yard average) with two touchdowns, and averaged an eye-opening 33.5 yards per punt return with one touchdown as a senior ? Made 77 tackles as a defensive back, while also intercepting three passes and returning one for a touchdown ? Totaled 41 receptions during his high school career ? Helped his team to the 1996 state championship ? First team All-League and All-County choice in his senior year ? Named the Outstanding Player of the Year by the Washington Metropolitan Area Officials in 1997 ? Selected as team Most Valuable Player following his senior season ?
