Head Coach Travis Ford celebrated his 38th birthday with the 70-61 win over BU.
UMass moved to 10-2 marking its best start since the 1995-96 Final Four season when the Minutemen started 26-0. Last year, UMass was 9-2 before losing its 12th game.
Gary Forbes posted a double-double - in the first half alone (15 points, 10 rebounds) for his third double-double of the season and sixth of his career as he finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
Gary Forbes scored 25 to reach double-figures for the 12th time in as many games in 2007-08. He has 16 games in a row with 10 or more. It was Forbes eighth game this season with 20 or more and 17th in his career.
Forbes was in double-figure rebounds for the eighth time in his career and third this season.
Ricky Harris has also reached double-figures in every game this season with 16.
Chris Lowe was in double-figures for the sixth time this season and 15th in his career with 14.
A game after having 18 blocked shots vs. Central Connecticut, UMass had 14 giving it 32 in its last two games. Papa Lo had five blocks after six against CCSU.
UMass held BU without a field goal for the first 6:48 of the game as the Terriers missed their first seven shots before an Ibrahim Konate lay-up with 13:12 left in the half as UMass built an 11-2 lead.
The crowd of 4,482 was the largest at the Mullins Center this season.
