NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - UMass senior guard Ricky Harris was named the A-10 Co-Player of the Week on Sunday. He shares the award with George Washington's Damian Hollis. Harris scored exactly 19 points and handed out six assists in each UMass win on the week. He shot a blistering 13-of-19 from the flooor in the 2-0 week.

He was also named A-10 Player of the Week on Jan. 20, 2008.

Harris was named the UMass Athlete of the Week on Monday. He will be honored at Wednesday's Sports Luncheon. Head Coach Derek Kellogg will be the guest speaker along with the fall scholar-athletes.

The luncheon will be held at the Campus Center Room 1009 at 12:15 p.m.

Harris scored 19 points and dished out six assists in both of Massachusetts' wins over Quinnipiac (62-58) and Holy Cross (84-63) while shooting a blistering 68 percent from the floor (13-of-19)...knocked down 7-of-13 shots from beyond the arc on the week...added six rebounds...tabbed the A-10 Player of the Week for the second time in his career.

Hollis tied his career high with 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds on Dec. 2 as George Washington registered a 66-49 win over George Mason in its lone contest of the week...made 10-of-13 shots, including 2-of-2 from three-point range...earns his second career A-10 Player of the Week honor.
