"I am really excited about our schedule," Head Coach Derek Kellogg said. "As the State University, I am happy we get to play across the state in Amherst, Springfield, and Boston. The Battle 4 Atlantis will give us a great feel for tournament-style play against a Sweet Sixteen team in Florida State, and our conference schedule provides plenty of tough tests including three NCAA Tournament teams in Richmond, Temple, and Xavier. This is going to be a fun and exciting team to watch and our fans need to come out and support their team."

UMass will open the season with four games in the state of Massachusetts. The Minutemen will open the season with just their second game in the historic Curry Hicks Cage in the last 18 years, taking on Elon on Nov. 11. Then it will be back to the Mullins Center for a pair of non-conference games, hosting Northeastern on Nov. 14 and NJIT on Nov. 17. UMass will then travel to Chestnut Hill to face Boston College on Nov. 21.

The Minutemen will compete over Thanksgiving weekend in the most exciting new preseason tournament on the college basketball landscape, the Battle 4 Atlantis at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. UMass will play three games in the eight-team tournament. It will face ACC foe Florida State in the first round on Thanksgiving Day and will take on either Harvard or Utah in round two. Also in the tournament field is National Champion Connecticut. All Battle 4 Atlantis games will be televised.

The Minutemen will host four more games over the duration of the non-conference slate, against Towson (Nov. 30), Quinnipiac (Dec. 17), Davidson (Dec. 22), and Central Connecticut (Dec. 28).

A pair of road trips south for non-conference tilts at ACC opponent Miami (Dec. 3) and Conference USA foe East Carolina (Dec. 6) precede the Minutemen's annual game in Springfield. On Dec. 9, UMass will play Siena at the MassMutual Center as the third and final game of the Hall of Fame Holiday Showcase.
