    LAS VEGAS - Gary Forbes started and scored 14 points for Panama in the first game of the FIBA Americas Championship as his squad lost an 88-84 overtime heartbreaker to Uruguay on Wednesday afternoon.

    Forbes was 6-of-10 from the floot and 5-of-8 from the foul line. He also had three rebounds.

    Team Panama will be back in action on Thursday as it faces Puerto Rico at 8:30 p.m. ET in Group A. That game will be live on NBA.com and televised on delay at 1 a.m. on early Friday morning.

    Panama will face Mexico on Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET and wrap up round-robin play on Sunday against Argentina at midnight.
