Former UMass star Rashaun Freeman has received an invitation to the Memphis Grizzlies mini-camp which begins Monday. Freeman, who finished fourth all-time in scoring at UMass, will work for a spot on the Grizzlies' Summer League roster which will play in Las Vegas.
Freeman comes off his third All-Atlantic 10 First-Team Selection as he led UMass in scoring for the fourth year in a row with a 14.7 average in 2006-07. He averaged 8.3 rebounds, third in the A-10 and shot 60.9 from the floor, 13th-best in the NCAA. Freeman finished his career as the fourth all-time leading scorer at UMass with 1,744 and third all-time leading rebounder with 998.
