SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - In continuing to grow the relationship between UMass and the City of Springfield, Head Coach Derek Kellogg and Mayor Domenic J. Sarno held a joint press conference on Monday, at the Dunbar Community Center to announce the summer 2008 Hoop Clinics for Kids. As part of the event, Kellogg received a "Key To The City" of Springfield. Kellogg, the Springfield native, was joined by members of the UMass team as they interacted with the kids in the start of this great partnership.

"It's going to be a long hot summer and these clinics are a wonderful opportunity for our youth to stay active and positively engaged," said Sarno. "I am thankful to the University of Massachusetts and to Coach Kellogg and the UMass basketball players for their commitment and contribution to our community," said Sarno.
