AMHERST, Mass. - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the home and away league game match-ups for the 2013-14 men's basketball season on Wednesday.

The 16-game slate will see each team play the other 12 teams once, with four of those in a home-and-home series. The league will be comprised of 13 teams with the addition of George Mason and the departure of Butler, Charlotte, Temple and Xavier.

UMass is slated to face George Mason, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph's and Rhode Island both home and away. The Minutemen will have Fordham, La Salle, Saint Louis and VCU visit the Mullins Center, along with road contests against Dayton, Duquesne, George Washington and Richmond.

UMass has compiled a 12-4 home record in A-10 regular-season play over the past two seasons and 6-10 away from Amherst.

UMass welcomes back seven letterwinners and three starters this season, including All-America candidate Chaz Williams. The Minutemen return 55 percent of their scoring and 73 percent of their rebounding from a year ago and have recorded at least 20 wins each of the last two seasons, while qualifying for the Postseason NIT each year.

The Minutemen are led by sixth-year head coach Derek Kellogg who has collected 85 career victories and sits fourth on the school's career coaching list behind legends Jack Leaman, John Calipari and Bruiser Flint.

The complete 2013-14 A-10 schedule with dates and times will be announced at a later date.

The conference play will begin in early January and conclude the weekend prior to the 2014 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship, which will be played March 13-16, 2014 at Barclays Center. For the first time since 2005, every Atlantic 10 team will advance to the championship in Brooklyn.
