Harris Earns A-10 Co-Player Of Week For UMass

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass sophomore guard Ricky Harris earned his second A-10 Player of the Week on Sunday as he shares this week's honor with Dan Geriot of Richmond. Harris captured the honor after he averaged 19.0 ppg in a 2-0 UMass week. Harris hit seven 3-pointers in the two wins. It marks the fifth honor for UMass this season (Harris twice, Gary Forbes twice and Chris Lowe once).

Geriot averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds over two games to garner his first career A-10 Player of the Week honor...scored a career-high 35 points on 13-of-17 shooting and grabbed 13 boards on Feb. 27 in Richmond's 82-71 victory at St. Bonaventure...scored 12 points and added a pair of assists in the Spiders' 78-74 setback on Mar. 1 versus UMass...had three steals on the week.

Harris garners his second A-10 Player of the Week award after averaging
19 points and shooting better than 58 percent (14-of-24) from the field
in a pair of victories by the Minutemen...scored a game-high 24 points
on 5-of-7 shooting from three-point range as UMass edged Richmond on
Mar. 1, 78-74...marked his 13th performance of at least 20 points this
season...scored 14 points in just 24 minutes on Feb. 24 in the
Minutemen's 79-56 win over St. Bonaventure...added four rebounds and a
pair of steals.
