UMass Hosts Hot Saint Louis, Sunday At Mullins Center
• With the final weeks of the regular-season upon us, the seeding for the Atlantic 10 Tournament is being hotly contested. Sunday at the Mullins Center, UMass hosts the red-hot Saint Louis Billikens at 4 p.m. Its Kids Club Day at the Mullins Center, so get ready for some excitement. UMass comes in with a mark of 10-16 overall and 4-8 in the A-10, standing in 10th place. The Billikens have won five games in a row, including the last four where they trailed by double-figures at one point in the game. Saint Louis is tied for fourth in the A-10 with an 8-3 conference mark in addition to being 17-8 overall.

• UMass comes off a tough 66-60 loss at George Washington on Wednesday in our nation's capital. Anthony Gurley led UMass with 16 points, 14 in the second half. Freddie Riley scored 15 points, all in the first half. Ricky Harris had his lowest scoring game of the season with 10 points, but did keep in double-figure scoring streak alive, at 36 games.

• Sunday's game will be available via live streaming video, audio and Gametracker on UMassAthletics.com. The UMass Sports Network with Josh Maurer, Tim Collins and Glenn Wong call the action starting with a 3:30 p.m., pregame show. The game airs statewide on flagship 100.9 FM in Western Mass, 830 AM WCRN in Central Mass., and 1060 AM WBIX in Eastern Mass.

• UMass has won both of the previous meeting with SLU at the Mullins Center: 2007 (53-50) and 2008 (88-77).

RH Factor: Red-Hot Ricky Harris
• Last week's A-10 Player of the Week Ricky Harris has been red shot of late. He has his three best scoring games in three of his last four contests with 32 vs. Rhode Island (2/6), 29 at Duquesne (2/11) and 27 vs. Saint Joseph's (2/14). He averaged 29.3 in that trio and 24.4 in his last five games, scoring at least 25 in four of the games. He has at least 23 points in six of his last seven games. Maybe even more impressive is that he is shooting 49.4 percent from the floor. He has raised his scoring average to 19.2, second in the A-10, 0.4 behind Xavier's Jordan Crawford.

• Harris leads the A-10 in scoring in conference games alone with a mark of 21.6.

• Harris moved up to fourth on the UMass career-scoring list at Rhode Island on Feb. 6. He now has 1,826 and is the A-10's active career scoring leader. Harris has an outside chance to become the third player in history to score 2,000 points. He needs 174 points with at least five games remaining. He needs just 79 to pass No. 3 Lou Roe (1,905). Jim McCoy is the all-time leader (2,374).

UMass-Saint Louis Series Notes
• This will be just the ninth meeting between the two teams and seventh since the Billikens joined the Atlantic 10 in 2005-06. Saint Louis leads the all-time series, 5-3. Saint Louis won last year's game, 69-64 in Missouri. See the recap below.

• UMass is a perfect 2-0 in games at the Mullins Center vs. Saint Louis, winning in 2007 and 2008.

• The teams split the two meetings in in 2007 and 2008 with UMass winning twice at the Mullins Center including the last match-up at home, 88-77 on Feb. 17, 2008. That game was the Leaman Legacy Game in Amherst and UMass had five players score in double-figures led by Danté Milligan (21). Ricky Harris also had 14 points.

• Saint Louis won the first meeting, as UMass had its lowest offensive output of the season as the Minutemen lost at Saint Louis, 71-59 on Feb. 2, 2008. The Minutemen shot a season-low 30.3 percent from the floor and made just 2-of-21 3-point attempts, missing all 13 in the second half. The Billikens led from wire-to-wire as juniors Tommie Liddell and Kevin Lisch each scored 16 points.Gary Forbes led UMass with 20 points. Ricky Harris, who came into the game with a 20.0 average was held to six points.

• The teams split the two engagements as non-conference foes.

• UMass and Saint Louis met in the first round of the 1998 NCAA Tournament with the Billikens winning 51-46. That game was the last time the Minutemen made the NCAA Tournament. Larry Hughes scored 18 points, Matt Baniak tallied 12 and Virgil Cobbin added 11 in the win. Monty Mack was the sole double-figure scorer for UMass with 10 points. SLU dropped the next game in the Regional to Kentucky, 88-61.

• UMass won the first meeting between the two teams 80-74 on Jan. 5, 1995 in the A-10/Great Midwest Challenge. That game was UMass' only other game at the Scottrade Center, which was known as the Kiel Center at the time.

• UMass head coach Derek Kellogg will coach against the Billikens for the second time as the headman. Two years ago, when he was at Memphis, the Tigers scrimmaged SLU in the preseason.

• Saint Louis coach Rick Majerus is 3-1 against UMass. He faced the Minutemen once, while he was at Utah. The Utes downed UMass, 69-53 in the 2002 Maui Invitational.
