  • UMass finished the season at 21-12, advancing to the A-10 semifinals and qualifying for the NIT for the second-consecutive season. It was the Minutemen's second-straight 20-win season.

  • UMass is now 24-22 all-time in postseason tournaments, 13-14 in NIT games and 4-1 in NIT home games.

  • UMass trailed 38-25 at the half. The Minutemen are now 3-10 this season when trailing at the break.

  • UMass shot 1-for-12 (8.3%) from outside in the first half, missing its final 11.

  • Freddie Riley finished with 16 points, giving him 1,006 for his career. He became the 45th player in school history to reach 1,000 points and third this season.

  • The Stony Brook defense held UMass to a season low 58 points in their first post season victory in school history. UMass' previous low for the season was 61 points back on Jan. 30 against La Salle.

  • UMass only shot from the charity stripe eight times, their second lowest total of the season with their lowest amount of attempts being six against La Salle. However the Minutemen were a perfect 8-of-8.

  • UMass' 12 steals on the night tied their season high for the third time this season. The last time UMass had 12 steals in a game was against Eastern Michigan on Jan. 1.
