  • UMass secured a winning record in the regular-season with its 15th win. It's the most wins in a season under Derek Kellogg.

  • UMass has equaled its best win total in A-10 play under Kellogg with its seventh win, as the team went 7-9 back in 2008-09.

  • Anthony Gurley scored in double-figures for the 24th time in 26 games with 22. He had 10 points in the first half alone. Gurley scored 20 points for the first time since he had 21 vs. Rhode Island (1/30). It was his 12th game this season and 22nd of his career with 20-plus points.

  • Gurley moved to 17th in career scoring with 22 in the game. He now has 1,262 to pass Doug Grutchfield (1,257). Next on the list is No. 16 Bill Tindall (1,277).

  • Sampson Carter had his eighth game this season in double-figures with 10 -- and second in a row.

  • Javorn Farrell drew his fifth charge of the season, in the first half.

  • Matt Hill drew a charge, his first of the season.

  • Sean Carter had two dunks to add to his team-high of 19 dunks.

  • SJU missed its first 12 3-pointers in the game, making UMass opponents 1-of-31 over two games (3 percent). Rhode Island was 1-of-19 against UMass on Sunday.

  • Over two games, UMass has held opponents to 5-of-45 for 11.1 percent.

  • UMass had a +21 rebound margin (45-24), the largest this season and for the year, UMass has a +41 margin in rebounding vs. the Hawks, outrebounding them +20 (44-24).
