NEW YORK (AP) - Michael Haynes scored 18 points and Fordham snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 75-61 victory over Massachusetts on Saturday.

Drew Williamson had 15 points for the Rams (5-18, 2-10 Atlantic 10), who had lost 22 straight games in February. Their last win during the month was Feb. 14, 2001, when they beat Duquense 91-84. Derrick Breland had 14 points and five assists for Fordham, which led 39-20 at halftime.

Maurice Maxwell had 15 points Massachusetts (9-15, 3-9), which lost its fourth straight, while Chris Chadwick and Jeff Viggiano each had 11.

After Maxwell's jumper got the Minutemen within 10-9 at 15:13 of the first half, the Rams went on a 17-4 over the next 8½ minutes.

Haynes had five points in the run, which was capped by a jumper by Alessandro Acquaviva. Haynes also accounted for the largest lead of the game, 39-18, by hitting a 3-pointer with 35 seconds left in the first half.

Viggiano had five points as UMass opened the second half on a 7-0 run to make it 39-27. Fordham responded with an 11-2 run behind Breland's five points to increase its lead to 50-29 at 14:05.
