BRONX, N.Y. - Rashaun Freeman had his fifth double-double of the season but UMass fell at Fordham, 63-56 on Saturday afternoon. UMass fell behind in the opening minute but rallied back to within two points in the second half but still lost.

Freeman had his fifth double-double of the season and 17th in his career with 27 points and 11 rebounds. He had 25 points or more for the fourth time this season and sixth of his career -- and twoce this season vs. Fordham (26 on Jan. 19). He scored more than 20 for the sixth time this year and 11 of his career. He was in double-figures for the 15th time in 21 games this season and 39th in 50 career games.

The A-10's top field goal shooter, Freeman was 13-for-18 from the floor. Freeman scored all of UMass points over 8:21 with 12 points in a row in the second half.

UMass had its lowest point total in half this season with 19 in the first half and the fewest since also having 19 at Xavier in last season's lose on Feb. 14, 2004.
