TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Rashaun Freeman scored 17 points and Massachusetts broke open a close game in the second half in a 74-61 win over Rider Tuesday night.

Rider (12-8) led 20-9 in the first half before Massachusetts (9-11) rallied to take a 34-33 lead at halftime. The Minutemen led 44-42 with 14:50 left in the game before going on a 12-2 run to take control.

Four players scored in double figures for Massachusetts. In addition to Freeman, who also grabbed 11 rebounds, Anthony Anderson scored 15 points, Jeff Viggiano had 14 and Stephane Lasme scored 12.

Jerry Johnson, Rider's leading scorer at 19.5 points per game, led the Broncs with 12 points on 3-for-15 shooting, which included 1-for-6 from 3-point range.
