Record Book Notes

  • Charlotte's Derrio Green tied the record for most 3-pointers against UMass with eight. Vanderbilt's Shan Foster made eight treys back on Jan. 5, 2008.

  • Green also tied the record for most 3-pointers attempted against UMass with 16. He tied the record of Marvin O'Connor of Saint Joseph's on March 9, 2001.

  • Ricky Harris continues to stand sixth in career scoring at UMass with 1,704. Next on the list is No. 5 Lorenzo Sutton (1,731).

  • Harris moved to fourth in career field goal attempts at UMass with 1,338, after he took 24 shots in the game. He passed Mike Pyatt (1,318) in the game. Next on the list at No. 3 is Lorenzo Sutton (1,518).

  • Harris continues to be third on the career 3-pointers attempted list with 10 in the game, giving him 703 in his career. Next on the list is Anthony Anderson (705).

  • Harris is tied for third in career made 3-pointers (245). Carmelo Travieso is third with 245 makes on 666 attempts from 1993-97. Next on the list at No. 2 Anthony Anderson (275).

  • Harris had two steals to move to a tie for 10th in career steals with 135 in his career. He is tied with Anton Brown and Tony Barbee in 10th place. Next on list is No. 9 Will Herndon (137).

  • Harris also moved on to the career made field goals list with 11. He now has 557 in his career to moved to ninth, passing Donald Russell (541) and 9 Harper Williams (554). No. 8 Clarence Hill (565).

    Individual Player Notes

  • Ricky Harris scored in double-figures for the 20th time this season in as many games with 25. Harris now has 31 games in a row in double-figures and 84 in his 118 career games. Dating to his sophomore year, Harris has 81 of his last 86 games with 10 or more points.

  • Ricky Harris scored 20 or more points for the seventh time this season and 35th in his career. It was his third time in four games with 20-plus.

  • Harris is the A-10's second-leading active career scorer (1,704) behind only La Salle's Rodney Green (1,744).

  • Anthony Gurley returned to the double-figure scoring column for the 17th time this season and 42nd of his career with 11 in the game.

  • Sean Carter had his third game this season with double-figure rebounds with 10 in the game. The last time he achieved it was at Davidson on Dec. 30.

  • Gary Correia drew a 5-second call on Charlotte in the first half. It was the second time this season that UMass has drawn a 5-second call.

  • Javorn Farrell drew his third start of the year and second in a row. The other was at Davidson (12/30/09).

  • Charlotte's Derrio Green's 34 points were the most against UMass this season. The previous high was 31 by Fordham's Brenton Butler on Jan. 6.

  • The all-time series with Charlotte is now is led by Charlotte, 5-3.

  • In games at the Mullins Center Charlotte lead the series, 2-1.

  • Two former UMass stars of the 1996 Final Four team were in attendance and sitting right behind the UMass bench were Dana Dingle and Carmelo Travieso.

  • The crowd of 6,003 was the largest crowd of the year at the Mullins Center.
