  • UMass is now 42-24 all-time at the MassMutual Center (formerly Springfield Civic Center). The Minutemen are 3-0 at the building with two wins back in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off.

  • In his hometown Derek Kellogg is now 4-1 as a coach after going 8-1 as a player with the Minutemen.

  • UMass' 43 first-half points were the second-most in the opening period this season. Also at the MassMutual Center, UMass scored 44 vs. New Mexico State on Nov. 20.

  • UMass' 59.4 field goal percentage in the first half was the second-highest of the season in a half.

  • UMass had more than two players score in double-figures for the first time since the Holy Cross game (also the last time UMass wore their throwback uniforms) on Nov. 27.

  • Anthony Gurley scored in double-figures for the 16th time in as many games this season with 20, 11 in the first half. He has at least 12 points in every game this season. He now has 64 career games with 10 or more points.

  • Gurley has led UMass in scoring in 15 of 16 games this season including the last nine games in a row.

  • Gurley scored more than 20 points for the eighth time this season and 18th time in his career with 20.

  • Sean Carter scored a season-high with 15 points. It was his second game this season with double-figures, he had 12 vs. Holy Cross (11/27). It was also his seventh-career game in double-figures.

  • Javorn Farrell reached double-figures (13) for the first time since he scored a career-high 25 at Quinnipiac on Dec. 1. He scored 15 and 12 in his two games at the MassMutual Center earlier this year.

  • Farrell has five games this season and seven in his career with double-figures.

  • Terrell Vinson had a season-high 11 points. His previous best was 10 vs. New Mexico State (11/20). It was his second game this season in double-figures and 17th of his career.

  • Farrell set his career-high in assists with five. He previously had four on five occasions.

  • Gary Correia set his career-high in assists with seven. He previously had six on two occasions.

  • Sampson Carter had his fifth drawn charge of the season, in the first half. He is second on the team in drawn charges.
