Head Coach Steve Lappas On Defeating #21 George Washington:
It is unbelievable what these kids have done in tough situations this year. They gave great effort today as they have all year. Hopefully we can continue to build on what we're doing.

On The Play of Chris Chadwick:
He really did a great job today. Having him in our line-up gives us a great compliment to Anthony Anderson. He handled the ball a lot today, but was able to keep the turnovers down and that helped us tremendously.

On Gameplan and Rebounding:
Coming into the game, we told the kids that we had to rebound today and they did that. We can come up with a gameplan all we want, but the bottom line is they have to go out and perform. Today they did that. They deserved this game so badly because of how hard they worked today.

Our defense has been good this year. The bottom line today was if we could score. I felt because they were a pressing team, we could get an advantage because the court was extended and would give us room

Sophomore Rashaun Freeman On If This Was His Best Game At UMass:
I think today's game was one of my best because of how I played at Saint Joesph's. I've struggled at times, but I've always told myself that good players bounce back.

Freeman On How The Game-Winning Play Unfolded:
I didn't think I was going to get the ball on the last play. I tried to post up and get myself in position for a tip-in if there was a miss. When the pass came to me, I was just trying to get the ball up on the rim and it went in. I think I actually caught the ball and shot it at the same time when I was up in the air. I was just happy I didn't run off the court this time!

Freeman On What The Win Means For The Team:
It was a big win for us. We played hard today. This was a big bounce back for us after our performance at Saint Joseph's, but we have to continue to stay hungry and stay focused taking it one game at a time. We know when our backs are against the wall, we play better. We knew today that we had to control the boards because of how good a rebounding team George Washington is and we did that.
