UMass Drops Heartbreaker To St. Bonaventure, 66-65

OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Vidal Massiah hit a 3-pointer with 3.2 seconds left to lift St. Bonaventure to a 66-65 win over Massachusetts Saturday.
Massiah's shot helped St. Bonaventure (9-5, 1-2 in the Atlantic 10) end a four-game losing streak.
Kitwana Rhymer scored five points during Massachusetts' (4-10, 2-1 in the Atlantic 10) late 7-1 run to tie 35-35 at halftime.
Massachusetts went on a 7-0 run to start the second half and led by eight with seven minutes left. St. Bonaventure fought back and had a five-point lead with less than three minutes to go.
Rhymer made two free throws with 49.8 seconds left to put the Minutemen ahead, 64-63. Shannon Crooks added another free throw with 20.9 seconds left.
Kevin Houston led St. Bonaventure with 20 points. Bremer added 15 while Massiah finished with 10.
Monty Mack tallied 20 points for Massachusetts with Rhymer scoring 17.
