Tonight's game was against the third Elite Eight team from the 2004 NCAA Tournament faced this season (UConn, Xavier).
Senior guard Anthony Anderson remains in 27th-place in program history with 1,116 career points. Mike Williams holds the 26th spot just six points ahead of Anderson with 1,122.
Anderson also added to his career total for three-pointers with four tonight giving him 256. That total is second all-time to Monty Mack who had 331.
Anderson is now ninth all-time in career steals with 136 after two against SJU. That moved him past Anton Brown and Tony Barbee who each had 135.
Anderson has made a three-point shot in 15 striaght games and has at least one in 88-of-97 career games. He scored in double figures for the seventh time this season and the 57th-time in his career.
Sophomore forward Stephane Lasme had a career-high four steals in the first half to surpass his previous high mark of three which he had set twice before.
Lasme had a team-high four blocked shots. As a team, UMass leads the A-10 in the statistic. The Minutemen added five blocks increasing their season total to 67.
Lasme also attempted a career-high five free throws tonight.
Senior Chris Chadwick tied his career-high in free throws made/attempted going 5-for-6. He set his career-high in both last year versus Fordham.
Tonight's contest was the first road game in exactly one month as UMass last played Miami on the road on Dec. 12, 2004.
