UMass (11-2) continued its best start since the 1995-96 Final Four season when it began 26-0.
With 58 second-half points UMass had its second highest scoring half of the year. They had 59 in the second half at Syracuse.
Etienne Brower broke out of a scoring funk with 18 including 17 points in the second half. Brower reached double-figures for the eighth time this season and 22nd in his career. He also had eight rebounds, all in the second half.
Chris Lowe had 10 points in the first half on his way to 18 for the game. He was in double-figures for the seventh time this season and sixth time in the last eight games after returning from an ankle injury.
Gary Forbes continued to be in double-figures in every game this season with 19.
Forbes has scored 10 or more in 17 games in a row.
Ricky Harris also reached double-figures for the 13th time in as many games this season with 16.
Matt Glass hit two 3-pointers in the first 10 minutes of the game to equal his career-best in that stat.
