Will sit out 2008-09 season due to transfer eligibility rules. Will practice with the team. KELLOGG ON WIGGINS: "Doug Wiggins has been unbelievable since coming to UMass. I love his demeanor and the way he is around the guys. He's got a great personality and on top of that he's a very good player. He's given Chris Lowe some great competition here early in our pre-season. I'm looking for him to be a great leader in practice, push the first team and to come in next year and really give us a boost with experience playing at the highest level and then practicing against of the best point guards in the country." As a sophomore in 2007-08 (at Connecticut): Saw action in all 31 games as a sophomore and averaged 18.9 minutes per game ... Ended the season averaging 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game ... Season-high six assists against West Virginia (3/1) ... Scoring in double-figures in eight games with a season-best 20 points at South Florida (2/16) ... Also hauled in a career-best nine rebounds...
