UMass Advances To NIT Quarterfinals After 77-67 Win At Seton Hall

Four Minutemen reach double-figures as UMass will face winner of Drexel/Northern Iowa

On Morgan: Dynamic shooter and scorer, who will eligible to play for the Minutemen after the first semester ... Came to UMass in winter of 2009-10 after fall semester ... Originally signed an NLI at Seton Hall, but never played for the Pirates ... Can play all three guard positions ... Nicknamed "Takeover" for his ability to takeover games.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2011-12:
• Scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds vs. Northeastern (11/14).
• Recorded a career-high five steals in the season-opener vs. Elon (11/11).

As a freshman in 2010-11:
• Became eligible to practice with the team on Dec. 19 after sitting out due to NCAA qualification requirements. Will have 3.5 semesters to play at UMass.
• Played in 12 games with 4.4 points per game in 10.8 minutes per rgame.
• Attempted 11 field goals, scored four points in A-10 Tournament loss to Dayton (3/8).
• After not playing vs. Temple (3/2), came off bench to score eight points at Fordham (3/5) in 17 minutes.
• In first college game in hometown of Philadelphia at La Salle (2/27), had eight points on two 3-pointers.
• In two games (2/16-19), 10.0 points/game in 17.0 minutes of action after five games of not playing.
• Canned a key 3-pointer as part of six points at Rhode Island (2/19), also grabbed six rebounds.
• Best game of career against Duquesne (2/16) with 14 points (5-of-11 FGs) in 18 minutes.
• Did not play for five games from Jan. 26-Feb. 13.
• Played final minute at Charlotte (1/19) and had monster slam dunk.
• Best game to date at Central Connecticut (1/3), netted five points including 3-pointer in 12 minutes.
• College debut vs. #24 UCF (12/22), tallied a free throw in four minutes.

Before UMass: First Team All-City selection at Olney High School in his native Philadelphia ... He averaged 28 points per game, the third-best total among city-league players, and led the Trojans to a 19-3 record ... Had a brief stay at South Kent Prep in Connecticut before college.
