Awdycki Enters Cape Cod League Hall Of Fame

Former UMass baseball standout John Awdycki was one of 10 individuals inducted into Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2009 this past weekend at a ceremony in Chatham, Mass. The first-baseman/outfielder, who lettered for the Redmen in 1962, '63 and '64, played and coached for Orleans of the CCBL. MORE

Student-athletes from the UMass athletic department took part in National Walk To School Day on Wednesday in Amherst. Members of the basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, softball and football teams and more took part in the event which took place at Wildwood Elementary School in Amherst. The student-athletes walked with the youngsters and spoke to them about staying fit and keeping in shape. It was a great event. MORE

UMass Baseball has gradated several players into the professional ranks in past years.
