KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Massachusetts baseball team (13-19, 5-9 A-10) lost a doubleheader at Rhode Island (26-15-1, 15-2 A-10) this afternoon extending its losing streak to nine. The Minutemen return to action with game three on Sunday, beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Senior third baseman Matt Reynolds (South Boston, Mass.) knocked a pair of homeruns to lead the UMass attack. He now has a team-leading six dingers on the year.
