  • Earned first career victory against St. Joseph’s, striking out seven in 5-2/3 innings of work out of the bullpen
  • Tossed one inning of perfect relief in win over Hartford
  • Threw one shutout inning at Harvard, striking out two batters

    AS A FRESHMAN IN 2000:

  • Made 10 appearances, all in relief
  • Made his first collegiate appearance on March 4 at Florida, giving up one run on three hits in 1-2/3 innings
  • Struck out three in 1-1/3 innings of shutout relief against Virginia Tech
  • Had six strikeouts in three innings of relief in 5-4 win over Quinnipiac

    HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Was 9-2 for with a 1.28 ERA and 89 strikeouts during senior season
  • A Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star in 1999
  • First team All-State selection by the Hartford Courant
  • Led team to Housatonic Division Championship in 1997 and 1999
  • Also a standout goalie on the Amity High soccer squad, he posted nine shutouts as a senior and allowed just 0.94 goals per game
