    AS A JUNIOR IN 2002:

  • Started 32 of UMass' 47 games at catcher, while playing in 35 contests
  • Went three for five with a double, two runs scored and four runs batted in during the final game of the St. Joseph's series
  • Was two for four with a double and four runs scored in win over UConn

    AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2001:

  • Selected as team co-Most Valuable Player
  • Played 360 of possible 372 innings behind the plate, starting every game
  • Fifth on UMass single season list for sacrifice flies with five
  • Went eight for 11 with five RBI and two doubles in St. Joseph's series
  • Was three for three with three RBI against Harvard in the Beanpot, including game-winning RBI bunt single in the bottom of the ninth
  • Went three for six with a double and two RBI in Fordham series
  • Was three for three with a double and two RBI against Northeastern
  • Had three hits, three runs batted in and the first home run of his collegiate career in the series with St. Bonaventure
  • Went two for four against Central Connecticut, with game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning
  • Had two hits and three runs batted in during final game at La Salle

    AS A FRESHMAN IN 2000:

  • Appeared in 15 games, starting nine times, as backup catcher
  • Picked up first career hit and RBI against Connecticut on April 18
  • Filled in very nicely for an injured Chris Morgan at the end of the regular season, starting six games and going five for 14 at the plate (.357)
  • Went two for two with a walk in 3-1 win over St. Bonaventure
  • Had a .973 fielding percentage and did not allow any passed balls

    HIGH SCHOOL:

  • A three-sport standout at Northampton High School
  • Batted .375 and drove in 26 runs during junior season
  • An All-Western Mass. selection in both baseball and football in 1998
  • Caught in the Bay State Games in 1997 and 1998
  • A team captain in baseball, football and basketball
  • Quarterbacked the football team to 1996 Western Mass. Super Bowl
  • Led basketball team to two Western Mass. Division II championships
