AS A SOPHOMORE IN 1999:
Ranked second on team and ninth in Atlantic 10 in ERA (4.15)
Led team in strikeouts (73), while ranking ninth in the conference
Threw seven or more innings in three of his last four appearances
Struck out five or more batters in eight of his 15 appearances
Went 16-1/3 innings without allowing an earned run, from April 2-29
Was 2-2 with two saves and a 2.40 ERA in regular season A-10 action
Held Atlantic 10 opponents to a .208 regular season batting average
Earned 12-3 victory over Lafayette, striking out eight in eight innings
Picked up relief win in 5-4 victory over Temple, tossing 4-1/3 innings of two-hit ball, allowing only one unearned run while striking out five
Struck out four in 3-2/3 innings to earn save against Fordham
Allowed only one run on four hits, while striking out a career-best 12 in nine-inning complete game victory over St. Joseph’s
AS A FRESHMAN IN 1998:
Gave up only one earned run in last three appearances of the season
Earned win vs. Vermont, yielding one run on three hits in three innings
HIGH SCHOOL:
Had a 1.34 ERA as a senior, with 86 strikeouts and only eight walks
Had a career record of 16-7, with a 1.60 ERA with 212 strikeouts
Team captain in both junior and senior years
Three-time first team All-Western Massachusetts selection
Also named All Bi-County League three times
Earned All-State honors in soccer as a senior
First team All-Western Mass. in soccer in junior and senior years

Father played baseball at Providence College from 1969-70 and in the Texas Rangers organization from 1970-75
