Made his first career appearance at Florida, tossing one shutout inning
HIGH SCHOOL:
Struck out 64 batters and walked only 19 in 57 innings as a senior, posting a 4-4 record with a 2.96 earned run average
Led team to Division I Massachusetts State Championship in 1998
Named to the Brockton Invitational All-Star team in 1998
A Big Three Conference All-Star as a senior
An honorable mention Standard Times All-Star Selection
Also played forward on the New Bedford High basketball team
