AS A REDSHIRT JUNIOR IN 2001:
Earned victory vs. Connecticut, allowing one earned run on five hits in seven innings
Struck out three against Connecticut, Siena and St. Joseph’s
AS A JUNIOR IN 2000:
Appeared in just one game on the mound
Started against Canisius, allowing just two hits and no runs in five innings, with four strikeouts and no walks
Missed the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 1999:
Made 12 appearances and seven starts on the season
Picked up first collegiate win, throwing six scoreless innings, while allowing four hits and striking out five in win over Central Connecticut
Struck out five in 6-2/3 innings to earn win in 7-6 victory over Yale
Notched first collegiate save, pitching final two innings, while allowing one hit and striking out one in 8-4 win over Duquesne
Stuck out six in six-plus innings to post 7-3 victory over Xavier
Allowed four hits and two runs in 5-1/3 innings to defeat Fordham
AS A FRESHMAN IN 1998:
Struck out one in 2/3 of an inning vs. Seton Hall in first appearance
Struck out four in four innings of relief work against Holy Cross
HIGH SCHOOL:
Hit .371 and had a 3-4 record in senior season at Longmeadow High
Team captain during senior year, and also named team MVP
First team All-Western Mass. as a senior and second team as a junior
Member of 1996 gold medal winning team at the Bay State Games
Two-time All-Valley Wheel League selection
Received the Carmen DiPipo Award for dedication and commitment
Also played four years of basketball, where he set the school record with 38 three-point field goals during the 1996-97 season
