    AS A JUNIOR IN 2001:

  • Tossed 1-2/3 innings of scoreless relief in the final game of the Xavier series
  • Earned win in relief against Northeastern, tossing two scoreless innings of one-hit ball
  • Picked up victory at La Salle, striking out six in four innings
  • Earned win at Liberty, striking out 10 batters in six innings of work, while allowing only one run on five hits
  • Named to the Athletic Director?s Honor Roll in the spring semester

    AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2000:

  • Pitched in 13 games with seven starts, posting a 3-2 record and a 4.39 ERA
  • Threw first career complete game in a tough 2-1 loss at Rhode Island, allowing just six hits and striking out three
  • Won at Central Connecticut, allowing no earned runs in seven innings
  • Struck out a career-high seven batters twice, first in 10-5 win over La Salle and again in 15-11 victory over Virginia Tech
  • Picked up his first career win with 10-5 victory over La Salle, giving up three hits over five innings while striking out seven

    AS A FRESHMAN IN 1999:

  • Appeared in 10 games, making four starts
  • Collected at least one strikeout in all 10 appearances
  • Made first collegiate start against South Florida
  • Received no decision against Boston College in Beanpot Championship game, allowing two runs on six hits in five-plus innings

    HIGH SCHOOL:

  • Won three letters in baseball and two in basketball at Masuk H.S.
  • Baseball team captain during junior and senior years
  • Hit .450 and went 8-2 with a 1.20 ERA as a senior, as team went 25-9
  • Named All-South Western Conference and to Connecticut Post All-Star Team in 1997 and 1998, while also earning all-state honors in 1997
  • 1998 USA Today honorable mention Connecticut Player of the Year
  • Team MVP in 1997 and 1998 and Outstanding Pitcher from 1996-98
  • Connecticut American Legion State Tournament MVP in 1998
