Slated to be the starting right fielder for the Minutemen this spring

Transferred to UMass from Springfield College prior to the 2000 season

AS A JUNIOR IN 2000:

Eighth on UMass single season list for times hit-by-pitch with seven

Went three for five with an RBI at Harvard

Was three for five with four RBI in doubleheader at Fordham

Went two for three with two doubles, two runs batted in and three stolen bases in victory over Connecticut

Was five for 11 with three RBI in the St. Bonaventure series

Went two for three with a pair of RBI in first game against Duquesne

Had two hits and two runs batted in against Central Connecticut

Went three for four with a triple, a run batted in and two stolen bases in second game at La Salle

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2000:

Played in 29 games, starting 10 in outfield and four at designated hitter

Picked up his first hit as a Minuteman on March 12 at South Florida

Had first career RBI and scored three runs in 10-5 win over La Salle

Hit his first career homer, a two-run shot, in 6-1 win over Holy Cross

Was four for four in stolen bases and committed just one error

AS A FRESHMAN IN 1999:

Batted .301 in 42 games in center field for Springfield College

Led Springfield to the 1999 New England ECAC Division III Tournament Championship, batting .538 in the tournament

HIGH SCHOOL:

Hit .330 for the Central H.S. Eagles as a senior and .415 as a junior

Also quarterbacked the Eagles to two Super Bowl titles

Was an All-Western Massachusetts selection in baseball and football

PERSONAL:

Born September 28, 1979, in Springfield, Mass.

Son of William and Margaret Clark

Brother, Doug, was an All-American selection for the Minutemen, and is now playing in the San Francisco Giants organization

Brother, Gavin, is currently a senior on the UMass squad
