AS A FRESHMAN IN 1999:
Hit by pitch seven times, placing seventh on UMass single-season list
Had a seven-game hit streak from March 23-April 2, going 12 for 28 (.429) with three doubles, a homer, seven RBI and seven runs scored
Named A-10 Rookie of the Week on March 29, after going six for 15 with three doubles, a homer, six RBI and two runs scored in four games
Was four for six with an RBI and a run scored at South Florida
Hit first collegiate home run, a three-run shot, against Providence
Was four for five with a double, an RBI and a run scored at Duquesne
Redshirted in 1998
HIGH SCHOOL:
Hit .400 with 26 RBI and 20 stolen bases as a senior in high school
Posted batting averages of .409 as a junior and .371 as a sophomore
Named to 1997 Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star Team, and played in the Connecticut-Massachusetts All-Star Game
