AMHERST, Mass. - Comcast SportsNet New England will serve as the official home of the University of Massachusetts athletics television show, "UMass Sports Insider", which premieres this Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. prior to the football team's home opener vs. Maine at Gillette Stadium.
Hosted by the "Voice of the Minutemen" Josh Maurer, the show will feature 13 original high-definition episodes during the 2013-14 school year. New episodes of the biweekly magazine-style program will air on Saturday mornings on Comcast SportsNet New England. Additionally, fans across the country can watch UMass Sports Insider throughout the week on Fox College Sports Atlantic.
While fall episodes will focus heavily on the football season, UMass Sports Insider will highlight all aspects of UMass athletics. The show will include behind-the-scenes access, highlights, features, student-athlete profiles, coaching segments, and the popular "lighter side" comedy segment.
