113 Student-Athletes Named To A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll

AMHERST, Mass. - 113 UMass student-athletes have been named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Fall 2010 semester, as announced by Atlantic 10 Commissioner Bernadette McGlade on Wednesday. A total of 1,296 student-athletes throughout the A-10 were recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the fall semester. To be listed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete in an Atlantic 10-sponsored sport must have a 3.5 GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale) during the specified semester.
"The commitment from each of these student-athletes in pursuing excellence in the classroom and during competition is a great representation of their institution and the Atlantic 10 Conference," said Commissioner McGlade.
The 113 Massachusetts student-athletes is the second highest representation amongst the conference, just behind the 124 representatives from La Salle. The Minutemen and Minutewomen combined for 96 honorees following the Spring 2010 semester.
