Cody Chrusciel joined the University of Massachusetts athletic department in October 2012 as Director of Broadcasting. In his current role, Chrusciel handles play-by-play for UMass hockey and serves as sideline reporter for Minutemen football on the UMass Sports Network. He also produces UMass Athletics' television show "UMass Sports Insider" and can be heard calling women's basketball and numerous other UMass sports for the Atlantic 10 Digital Network and UMass All-Access.

Chrusciel, who earned his M.S. in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts in 2011 and worked in the UMass Athletics media relations office during the 2011-12 academic year, boasts five years of minor league baseball broadcasting and media relations experience with the Tennessee Smokies (Chicago Cubs Double-A affiliate) and New Jersey Jackals (independent Can-Am League). Additionally, he has worked at Army, where he called Black Knights men's lacrosse and oversaw the video production department.

Prior to earning bachelor's degrees in broadcast journalism and radio/TV/film from Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J., the Garden State native interned in the video services department with the Philadelphia Phillies and the broadcasting and public relations department of the ECHL's Trenton Devils.
