Adam Frenier has been a part of UMass Athletics broadcasts since 2000 and has served as a broadcaster and studio producer for a variety of sports broadcast on radio, television and online. In 2014-15, he will serve as football host for home games and work as part of the UMass hockey broadcast team while continuing to contribute to UMass All-Access broadcasts as a play-by-play announcer.
Since 2007, Frenier has been a part of UMass Football broadcasts as the sideline reporter and host of pregame, halftime and post-game programming. He has been a part of five Associated Press Massachusetts/Rhode Island Play-by-Play Award-winning broadcasts; three as a producer and twice on-air. Since 2011, he has worked frequently as a freelance news reporter for New England Public Radio in Amherst, Mass., covering a variety of different topics and news events.
From 2005-2007, Frenier was the producer for the Boston Red Sox Radio Network. From 2000-2005, he worked at WHMP-AM in Northampton as a news reporter, local sports announcer and producer.
Frenier graduated from UMass in 2004 with a B.A. in History and resides in Florence.
