UMass women's basketball alumni Alisha and Tamara Tatham will compete for the Canadian Women's National Team as the squad gears up for the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship, which will be held from Aug. 30 - Sept. 11. The Tatham sisters have been competing together for Team Canada's senior level program since the 2010 FIBA World Championships, including appearances at the 2012 Olympic Games. MORE

A day after being named one of the top scholar-athletes in collegiate lacrosse, UMass senior defenseman Jake Smith took home United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Honorable Mention All-America, as announced by the organization on Thursday morning. Smith secured a spot on the list for the second consecutive season through his leadership and ability on the field in 2013 after earning the same award as a junior. MORE
