Along with membership in the UMass Athletic Association, donors can make gifts of various types to help support the Athletic Department. Many of these gifts can make a long-lasting impact on UMass. Valuable tax benefits are also available depending on the type and level of the gift.
ONLINE GIFTS: You can make a gift in any amount using our secure online form. Several different types of credit cards are accepted and gifts can be specifically allocated to the general athletic fund or be sport specific. To make an online donation, click here.
ANNUAL GIFTS: Ongoing, sustaining gifts that enable UMass Athletics to embrace opportunities and meet challenges.
DIRECT GIFTS: Gifts can be granted in the form of cash, check, or credit card. They can be made annually or periodically through installments. Please make all checks payable to the UMAA.
MATCHING GIFTS: UMass qualifies for most charitable matching gift programs. If your company participates, you will receive UMAA credit for the matching gift. Donors whose employers participate in a matching gift program should obtain the matching gift forms from their human resource department and mail them in with their donation. This is a simple way to significantly increase your contribution.
APPRECIATED SECURITIES: Gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds are yet another way to support student-athletes while receiving a greater tax benefit than you would from an equivalent of cash.
A great way to leave a lasting impact yourself or to honor a loved one an endowment gift will leave a lasting impact on the UMass athletics. An endowed gift has a portion of its income reinvested every year to create perpetual revenue stream for the department while using the expendable income to fund the program immediately.
CAPITAL GIFTS: Projects that are vital to success of UMass Athletics.
