David Maclutsky enters his eighth year as an Associate Athletic Trainer in 2014. He is responsible for the athletic health care of the men's basketball and women's crew teams. He has returned to UMass, where he received his Master's degree in exercise science in 2001. While working towards his degree, he served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in the Sports Medicine department for two years.
Prior to UMass, Maclutsky was the Director of Sports Medicine at Saint Peter's College after working as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Army Prep for one year.
Before Army Prep, Maclutsky was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the College of the Holy Cross for four years.
Maclutsky received his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Brockport State University in Brockport, N.Y. in 1996.
Maclutsky and his wife, Cathy, reside in Belchertown, MA.
