Associate Head Athletic Trainer Jennifer Brodeur is in her sixth year at the University of Massachusetts, and fifth serving as the head athletic trainer for the football team. She is one of only a handful for women serving as head athletic trainers for major college football programs.
During her time at UMass, Brodeur has also worked with the men's lacrosse and men's and women's swimming & diving programs. She also oversees the Athletic Training Department's undergraduate internship program.
Brodeur joined the UMass staff in 2006 after serving as head athletic trainer for the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA. Prior to the Sun, she worked at Providence College as an assistant athletic trainer from 2001-06. Brodeur came to Providence from Fordham University, where she worked from 1998-2001.
Brodeur has a bachelor's degree from Ohio University and a master's degree in Exercise Science and Sports Administration from Austin Peay State University.
Brodeur is currently serving as President of the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts and in 2009 received the Athletic Training Service Award bestowed by the National Athletic Trainer's Association, recognizing contributions to the athletic training profession on the state and national levels.
Brodeur resides in Northampton.
