AMHERST, Mass. - Senior track and field standout Christina Huff (Springfield, Mass) and sophomore All-American skier Rush Hawkins (Shelburne, Mass) have been named the UMass/Dinn Brothers Co-Athletes of the Week.

Huff took home a first-place finish in the 55-meter dash (7.24 seconds) and qualified for the ECAC championships at Saturday's URI invitational (2/5). She also ran the 200-meter dash and finished fourth with a time of 26.29 seconds. Huff accounted for 15 of the Minutewomen's 98 points in the meet.

Hawkins continued his excellence on the slopes sweeping both the slalom and giant slalom at last weekend's Brown-MIT Winter Carnival (2/5) in New Hampshire. With the dual wins, Hawkins has won five out of his first six races this season.

The UMass Sports Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at the Top of the Campus Room in the Campus Center. This week's featured guest speakers include hockey coach Don "Toot" Cahoon, women's basketball head coach Marnie Dacko, and football coach Don Brown, who will speak about his 2005 recruiting class.
