Coverage Of @UMassSportsNet Maiden Flight Of New Video Drone

Both the Springfield Republican and the Daily Hampshire Gazette have stories featuring the maiden flight of the UMass Sports Network video drone which shot aerial video footage of UMass football's new press box and performance center at McGuirk Stadium on Thursday.



Scott Coen of the Springfield Republican has a feature story on the Voice of UMass Josh Maurer who also provides play-by-play coverage for the Pawtucket Red Sox in the Spring and Summer. Coen says Maurer is really the Voice of New England with his round-the-year work and his preparation for broadcasts is matched by few.

VIDEO: Rowing Readies For NCAA Championships

The University of Massachusetts rowing program earned a spot in the upcoming NCAA Championships after the squad captured the 2014 Atlantic 10 Title. UMass Sports Network caught up with head coach Jim Dietz and team captains Taryn Wilson and Nicole Juul-Hindsgaul to find out how the squad is preparing for NCAAs. Check out the video below:
