Cheshire vs Southington   Former UMass star Davina Hernandez (at right holding the Connecticut state championship trophy with her team) recently led Southington High School to its third-consecutive state title and extended its winning streak to an amazing 70-straight games.
   But she has lupus, it does not have her, and you can read a nice story by Jeff Jacobs (@jacobscourant) of the Hartford Courant.

Former UMass softball player Davina Hernandez (2006-09) led Southington (Conn.) High School to the Class LL State Championship over the weekend. The top-seeded Blue Knights finished 24-0 in Hernandez's first season as the head coach.
