As a college quarterback at Massachusetts he put together one of the finest careers in school history. He ranks first in passing yards (11,031) passing efficiency (152.92), completion percentage (63.9), touchdown passes (90), completions (830), and attempts (1,303).
Recently the former UMass quarterback took some time to discuss his new post with the University of Rhode Island football program.

Coen comes to URI after a single season at Brown University, where he served as the Bears' quarterbacks coach. The former La Salle Academy star and four-year standout at UMass will fill the same position with the Rams, bringing with him a résumé that includes the six school records that he set with the Minutemen and a single season with the Alabama Vipers of the Arena Football League.
"I think we have a special guy in Liam Coen," Brown head coach Phil Estes said. "He's one of the best quarterbacks to ever come out of Rhode Island."
